I was caught red handed soaking up the joys of a Mac. I have always been loyal to my PC, but the limitless options of photo booth were just too tempting. So many distortion possibilities, as opposed to my PC’s limited webcam features of ‘black and white’ or ‘sepia’.
I am the first to rant and rave about how inconvenient Macs are. How the computer labs are negatively impacting my learning by making me struggle to use one with each class that I have in there. But is this argument really all that important?
After a simple Google search and abundance of PC VS Mac websites appear, follow this link to one of them!
With all these upgrades constantly being released, and so many brands and forms of technology to chose from, this can all become a little overwhelming. Anyone looking for a better understanding, have a look at this blog, http://gabbybrown.blogspot.com/2011/10/but-what-about-microsoft-hp-blackberry.html . She sums it up nicely in relatively simple language!
Interestingly enough, this war has expanded to Google, who is a PC supporter. With it’s soon to be released, Samsung Galaxy Nexus, will it have the potential to surpass Apple and it’s ever so sleek a popular iPhone and its many many upgrades.
One thing is for sure, I am one of the fence sitters, who is loyal to neither brand, I am who these companies are marketing too. But to tell you the truth, by the looks of my bank account, and my current budget, I won’t be purchasing either of them anytime soon.

Very nice post. I am a PC man, even I admit though that MACS have some nice features. Windows 7 is the closest PC users have to a MAC interface... it really has taken some obvious features of MACS and re-named them. The snapping windows feature is reminiscent of a MAC, the media player is simplified and lets now recognize the new Internet Explorer browser... so clean and simple. All these are characterists of MAC. The functionability though is where it is hit and miss... it is a fine balance. The two need eachother to co-exist.
ReplyDeleteFergus says it right - "the two need each other to co-exist." I like PC but photobooth on the mac definitely is fun. Doing certain things on the Mac can be easier, but the amount of things you can do on a PC far outweighs it. I think that as we can see from Windows 7, Apple has been able to push Windows to lift it's game a bit in terms of more aesthetics. And moving on to Windows 8 - I'm still not sure what to think.
ReplyDeleteIt is an age old battle, and one that I cannot see coming to an end anytime soon. There will always be loyal fans to each side. I, however, like Naomi, am a fence sitter. I have a MacBook laptop, and a Samsung Galaxy phone. Which works better? Who knows, it is really much of a muchness. Whatever one can do, the other can do a month later, but better.
ReplyDeleteI have been a PC fan for the longest time I've ever know, probably because I've never owned a Mac or just simply because I hardly ever get to use one of them Macs. But yes, I agree, Macs have more and probably better functions than those of PCs. I'm a fence sitter myself too. Just recently, my laptop gave up on me, and I am now searching for a laptop to buy, and have no idea which brand to get! It's so frustrating because all the top brands are so expansive, and I just felt like I want to get into the Apple world, but just couldn't afford it! I would probably be stuck with a PC till I'm able to purchase a Mac by myself.
